About this file
This document is Amendment 0001 to Solicitation 36C25926Q0255, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office on March 26, 2026. The amendment updates the original solicitation for the 4th Floor Nurse Call Systems project at the Fort Harrison VA Medical Center in Fort Harrison, Montana (Building 154). The amendment includes three substantive updates: posting of site visit attendance and meeting documentation, provision of answers to vendor questions, and confirmation that all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
The vendor questions and answers address critical implementation details for the nurse call system upgrade. Key clarifications include: (1) confirmation that a full-time site superintendent and competent person with OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification completed within the past five years are required on-site during all work activities; (2) requirement for a dedicated Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) who must be on-site at all times during work, with allowance for a Designated Representative for up to 8-hour absences; (3) confirmation that a Quality Control Manager (QCM) must be designated, with minimum qualifications specified in the specifications, and that this role may be combined with other supervisory positions; (4) clarification that the prime contractor must subcontract directly with EVCO Integrated Solutions, the exclusive authorized Rauland Ametek dealer and installer for the Fort Harrison area, who will be responsible for equipment installation and parts; and (5) confirmation that existing branch circuits may be utilized for the new nurse call equipment without requiring new dedicated circuits or panels.
