1. Question: The statement of work states that “The existing 480-volt, 200-amp feeder wire shall be reused” the statement also has a requirement to “Verify of the circuit breaker feeding the existing MRI can support the new UPS load. If required, install new 400A line from the USS9 in basement as per the drawings.” The provided electrical design has verified that a 400A circuit is required. Should the contractor assume that the statement concerning reuse of the existing feeder no longer applies?

Answer: Yes. A new 400A circuit is required and shall be installed.

2. Question: The statement of work indicates “Contractor shall provide Forklift and rigging services to remove the old magnet and install the new magnet.” This work is typically provided by the Equipment Vendor. Please verify the responsible party for this work.

Answer: Offeror shall include price for rigging services to remove old magnet from the room and install new magnet in the room. Terms agreed with GE states “FOB delivery”. Upon arrival of the delivery truck at the B100, contractor is responsible for moving the equipment into the building.
