About this file

This is an Addendum No. 1 to bidding documents for a federal construction project. The addendum modifies the original solicitation for Project VA 537–26–200, Facility Cooling Improvements at the Jesse Brown VAMC, specifically for the replacement of AHU-AC21 serving the Nutrition Food Service.

The addendum extends the Period of Performance from 245 calendar days to 308 calendar days from Notice to Proceed and establishes a 14-calendar-day VA review period for Phase 3 preconstruction submissions. Technical modifications include reducing the AC-21 hydronic distribution propylene glycol concentration from 60% to 30%, adding control valves and thermostatic traps to the Fin Tube Radiation System, and revising the AHU-AC21 schedule with updated specifications including FAN CFM of 28,740 (down from 33,522), EXT. SP of 3.00, Total S.P. of 6.47", Cooling Coil GPM of 444, and Heating Coil GPM of 325. Significant mechanical changes include replacing Exhaust Fan RV-16 with specified ductwork dimensions (33"x25" horizontal, 33"x20" vertical), revising fan and pump schedules, updating filter specifications to MERV 7 and MERV 13, and correcting HWS/HWR return piping size from 5" to 4". The addendum includes extensive drawing revisions across multiple sheets (MD-1 through TC-2), specification clarifications regarding ductwork testing and TAB procedures, and corrections to control system architecture and hardware specifications. The revised Project Manual and annotated drawings are included as attachments and supersede original documents except where unmodified.
