About this file

This is an addendum to bidding documents for a federal construction project at the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The addendum, issued on May 15, 2026, modifies the original solicitation posted on May 6, 2026, for the replacement of AHU-AC21 serving the Nutrition Food Service department as part of Project VA 537-26-200 (FY26 Facility Cooling Improvements). Key modifications include extending the period of performance from 245 to 308 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, reducing propylene glycol concentration in the hydronic distribution system from 60% to 30%, and revising the VA's review period for preconstruction submissions to 14 calendar days.

The addendum contains substantial revisions to technical specifications and project drawings across multiple sheets. Notable changes include updates to the AHU-AC21 schedule adjusting fan CFM from 33,522 to 28,740, revising cooling and heating coil specifications, adding a cooling coil GPM column (444 GPM), and modifying heating coil GPM from 347 to 325. Additional scope modifications address exhaust fan RV-16 specifications, ductwork dimensions and testing requirements, piping details, filter specifications (MERV 7 and MERV 13), and temperature control system requirements. The addendum includes three attachments: a revised AHU-AC21 schedule, annotated drawings, and a revised project manual, all of which form part of the binding contract documents.
