About this file

This document is a comprehensive Test Pit Report for the VA Sousley Campus in Lexington, Kentucky, detailing underground utility investigations conducted by IMEG. The report includes 20 test pit locations, systematically documenting various underground utilities such as electric ducts, water pipes, communication conduits, storm pipes, gas lines, and unidentified pipes. Each test pit report provides detailed information including utility type, pipe material, depth, coordinates, elevation, condition, and ground composition, with most utilities noted as being in good to fair condition.

The test pit investigations were performed using a Vivax-Paradigm Vac truck, with crews exposing utilities at varying depths ranging from 0.91 feet to 6.85 feet beneath the surface. The utilities discovered include rough poured concrete electric ducts, plastic and ductile iron water pipes (domestic and fire protection), communication conduits, storm pipes, gas pipes, and several unidentified metallic and non-metallic lines. The reports consistently note sunny weather conditions and predominantly clay soil types, with survey markers placed using steel pins and color-coded ribbons to identify different utility types.
