About this file
This document includes a Request for Information and related federal contract opportunity notice. The Request for Information seeks clarification on whether fiber optic, coaxial, and baseband cable field inspection tests via attenuation measurements on factory reels, along with OEM certification, are to be provided by the third party testing agency and paid for by the general contractor or the Department of Veterans Affairs. The related federal contract opportunity notice is a pre-solicitation notice for construction services to build a new hospice unit at the Loch Raven VA Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The approximately 20,000 square foot project with an estimated value between $10-20 million is set aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The solicitation is expected to be issued on June 4, 2020 with bid opening on July 8, 2020 and construction completion anticipated after 540 days.
