About this file
This document contains a request for information and related federal contract opportunity notice. The request for information pertains to plumbing testing requirements for a project and seeks clarification on whether third party testing is required and who would contract the testing agency. The response clarifies that third party testing is not mandated and that testing will be documented and submitted as part of as-built documentation by the general contractor.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation notice for construction services to build a hospice unit at the Loch Raven VA Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The approximately 20,000 square foot project involves new construction, renovations, and tie-ins with an estimated price range between $10-20 million. The opportunity is designated as a 100% service-disabled veteran-owned small business set aside. The notice provides the solicitation number, NAICS code, size standard, federal supply class, and points of contact for any questions. The anticipated dates include issuing the invitation on June 4, 2020, opening bids on July 8, 2020, and completing contract performance after 540 days.
