About this file

This document is a Solicitation Amendment for a Department of Veterans Affairs project to resurface roadways and a patient parking lot at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. The solicitation (Number 36C24225B0025) seeks a contractor to mill and resurface approximately 98,000 square feet of roadways and parking areas, including Elks Memorial Drive, Veterans Way, Parking Lot A, Front Circle, and Ambulance Circle. The project requires installing 2" of NYSDOT approved Type 6 hot mix asphalt, restriping existing roadway markings, sealing pavement cracks, and maintaining safe traffic and pedestrian conditions during construction.

Key project details include a 180-calendar day completion timeline, work to be performed during normal business hours with potential off-hours requirements, and a firm fixed price contract. The amendment includes responses to contractor questions about project specifics, such as site visit documentation, personnel requirements, tax inclusion, and wage determinations. The work will minimize disruption to hospital operations, with the patient parking lot to be completed on weekends in multiple phases, and roadways maintaining vehicle access throughout the project. Contractors must provide all equipment, materials, supplies, and labor to complete the resurfacing work as specified in the accompanying drawings and specifications.
