a. As we are requiring the Contractor to maintain the MRI and Trailer, we cannot remediate these ourselves. We can keep in contact with the Contractor and alert them of the Hazard Alerts, but ultimately the Contractor needs to follow through to completion of these. This is usually contacting the OEM and ensuring they complete the tasks assigned.

25. Are you currently receiving MRI services? If so by whom?
a. No, this is a new requirement for a new building.
26. What is the MRI make and model providing services?
a. The MRI make and model for servicing is dependent upon the make and model provided by the vendor. The requirement includes both providing the device as well as the service for the device.
27. There is no grey market language in the bid. Does that mean you will accept grey market material?
a. Grey market clause will be included
28. Sky light and Wall Mural- Since this is an MRI a skylight would be an inherent weak spot for outside RF to enter the scan room which would cause artifacts in the scans. Is the skylight a mandatory requirement? Can we add the wall murals post-award?
a. Sky Factory skylights are virtual windows. Sky Factory makes MRI Compatible ones that can be mounted on a surface or recessed through an opening. It's to my understanding that this requirement (skylight and wall murals) is more for patient atmosphere and experience. Does not have to be Sky Factory brand name, however it does need to be MRI Compatible.
29. In prior discussion with the end user Team, it was mentioned that a "brand-new system is desired – which we can provide through a brand new GE HealthCare MRI System which meets/exceeds all of the requirements referenced in the RFQ."
a. The equipment requirement is to be brand new.
30. This solicitation does not list brand specific models for the required bore size. The standard bore size is 60 cm for 1.5T MRIs and the next size up from there is 70 cm. The models, availability and price of a 60 cm as apposed to a 70 cm is drastic. I was hoping the VA can clarify this as it will improve the accuracy of all quotes you receive.
a. Requirement is asking from a minimum bore size of 60 cm.
31. The Leadtime would depend on what system you are requesting. However, we are able to supply both bore sizes(models) for GE and Siemens models.
32. The channels are standard in the following breakdown; 8, 16, 18, 24, 32, 36 and 48. With 16, 18 and 48 being the most widely used configurations across OEMs. If the VA needs no less than 33 we will default our proposal to only models that are 36 and 48 channels.
33. Lastly, can you please advise the estimated start time for the contract? This will dictate which model(s) we will be quoting.
a. Approximate start time of June 1, 2024
34. Vendors requested an up-to-date graphic legend / drawing for details and specs of the area where trailer will be positioned.
a. Drawing will be provided for planning purposes only. Close to scale, but not exact
35. There is a question on the area where ramp is to be placed, space provided not being enough to place a ramp.
a. Removing ADA Ramp requirement
36. A ramp and a lift are required as per SOW, vendors stated that both are not usually required. Vendors stated lifts have a backup battery and mechanisms to drop down if needed.
a. Removing ADA Ramp requirement
37. The requirement requires a generator, vendors questioned the need if the building has back up electricity.
a. Removing back-up generator as the Facility will have emergency back-up power.
38. There is a question on the brand name of the MRI System specs are geared to GE.
a. The Mobile MRI Equipment shall be equal to or better than the description of a 1.5T MRI System that meets the attached Technical Requirements.
