GENERAL SATOC QUESTIONS
1. Please provide wage rates for each campus as subcontractors need this to provide pricing.
RESPONSE: All applicable wage rates will be the most current versions for their location as per the Wage Rate Determination website, https://wdol.gov/, for the duration of the contract to be updated as this site is updated. When Task Orders are issued, they will be issued with the most current wage rates.
1. RS Means has 7 different software systems, which one is the government requiring? In addition RS Means tends to not be accurate with government/hospital estimating. Is RS Means the only allowable estimating software for this project? It is very expensive to buy a software for one proposal
RESPONSE: The offeror doesn’t have to buy software to put together an estimate into the applicable divisions. The Government expects a format with all the applicable divisions and markups. This can be done by hand with a book: https://www.rsmeans.com/products/books/2018-cost-data-books/2018-building-construction-costs-book.aspx
They can utilize whichever version they find to be suitable for construction in a hospital/medical setting. 2018 version should be utilized.

A. RS MEANS COST DATA
Contractor will use The RS Means Building Construction Cost Data Book, which contains pricing information for the work to be accomplished and for the units of measure specified. The “Unit Price Book” that is applicable to this contract consists of the following publications:
RS Means Building Construction Cost Data Book and RS Means Online – most current editions.
The RS Means Construction Cost Data Book is updated each calendar year. The contractor shall utilize the most current version of RS Means Construction Cost Data Book at the time of award of base contract and shall use the most current version at the time that any options are awarded.
The contractor shall obtain the book or CD ROM or subscribe to the online version of the aforementioned Unit Price Book. It is the contractor's responsibility to purchase the publications. The contractor shall possess the most current version throughout the entire life of the contract.
1. The front page of Amendment #4 states bid due date remains the same 8/13/2018 at 12:00 pm. Attachment 2 Overall SATOC QUESTIONS, states “Due to this new requirement, the proposal response date will be extended until 8/9/18 @ 12 Noon EST. Please clarify the correct due date and time.
RESPONSE: There was an error on the last RFI set. The proposals are due 8/13/18 @ 12 NOON.
1. Please note that an SF 30 form was not uploaded as part of the Amendment #2; only a new SF 1442 was posted. Additionally, since Amendment #2 contains a new SF 1442 form, shall we replace the previously posted SF 1442 or include both in the submission?
RESPONSE: Unfortunately we had a computer error when Amendment # 2 was posted that deleted the SF 30. The way the system is, we can’t go back and add one in. In amendment #4 the newest SF1442 was posted which is the one that should be used.
631-17-008 Renovate of BLDG 9 Basement
1. No finish schedule shown in the drawings that show where the floorings products indicate where or what products go in which rooms. Please advise.
RESPONSE: Carpet and Base is in the spec and should have been field measured.
Bathrooms: 24x24 Porcelain floor tile in bathrooms with marble ADA compliant threshold. 12x24 Porcelain wall tile. Full height on wet wall and 48” high or nearest dimension for a fill tile. Provide bullnose trim cap (3x12) at walls with tile wainscot.
523A5-17-003 Renovate Nurse Station 8-1-B
1. Will you be providing a door schedule? We could not find one in the plans and specs.
RESPONSE: Type of door and hardware specified in specs. GC to provide door schedule. See specs 08 11 13 / 08 71 00 / 08 71 13 for more information.
1. Drawing ID 2 of 7 New Work - Key Notes are on the drawings but there is no list of key notes explaining what they are.
RESPONSE: There are drawing notes.
1. Partition detail #1 looks to be the same as partition detail #3. Please clarify
RESPONSE: Detail # 3 needs to be a 1 hour fire rated wall.
1. Drawing ID 1 of 7 Demolition Key Note #2 Will you be providing specifications and scope for the new awning?
RESPONSE: GC to submit suggested specs for temp awning. Min. coverage is 8 ft wide by 10 ft in length.
1. Drawing ID 1 of 7 – Abate as needed and approved is referenced in various key notes please clarify abatement scope and was there an abatement study conducted? If so, please provide.
RESPONSE: Abatement is needed. Please see attached abatement study conducted. Bld. 8 Abestos Survey.pdf
1. Drawing ID 2 of 7 – Will you be providing elevations of front entry way? More detail is need for the new vestibule the new covered patio and new covered entry.
RESPONSE: Enclosed patio is phase II of the project, not currently within this scope. GC to provide temporary
1. ID 1of 7 - Demolition Key Note #7 – Please identify source and quantify footage to source.
RESPONSE: Source is entire room. Footage indicated on drawings. B132A is 30 S.F. and A134B is 19 S.F.
