Based on our earthwork analysis on this project, we are showing a shortage of earthen material to construct the project to the lines and grades as shown. If there is in fact a shortage of earthen material, must earthen material be imported to construct the Future Expansion Area to the lines and grades shown, or may the lines and grades in this area be adjusted to make the overall site balance?
CAD files or earthwork calculations will not be provided. Responsibility for determining earthwork quantities lies solely with the offeror and there is no requirement to have earthwork calculations completed prior to the question deadline. Grading elevations were provided in the solicitation on 12 April 2021. The deadline for questions was 24 April 2021. Proposal submission is not due for another 13 days. With respect to CG-112 and CG-113, the intent of the future expansion area grading is to show that cut from the project area can be spread (if approved as suitable material by the geotech) at the Future Expansion Area up to the lines and grades shown. If there is a shortage of material, then additional fill will need to be brought in. The lines and grades of the Future Expansion Area cannot be adjusted to make the overall site balance as those are determined based on floodplain compliance with the site’s associated Letter of Map Revision application and eventual permit with FEMA/Floodplain Administrator.
In the Schedule for Finishes, the RB-36, https://victorstanley.com/product/rb-36, is called out for both the trash receptacle and for the flower vases but in the details on LF-501, the drawing look closer to the S-42, https://victorstanley.com/product/s-42/ and S-424, https://victorstanley.com/product/s-424/ models. I believe the receptacle are going to be matching existing items to other Sam Houston receptacles so I wanted to double check that the correct models were quoted for this portion of the project. Can you please confirm the correct models?
Trash and flower vase receptable models are as specified in the plans and specifications. If during the construction RFI and submittal process there is a need to change, those changes will be addressed during construction.
