About this file

This amendment modifies a solicitation for the construction of Pod 6 at the Smithsonian Institution's Museum Support Center. The project involves demolishing an existing greenhouse and constructing a new three-story collections storage facility costing an estimated $85-95 million. The Smithsonian Institution and National Gallery of Art will use the building for collections storage, with 58% for the Smithsonian and 42% for the National Gallery of Art. The amendment provides details on a pre-bid site tour scheduled for June 22nd and extends the proposal due date to July 29th, 2022 at 2:00 PM EST. It also specifies requirements for obtaining project documents and attending the site visit. The fixed-price, design-bid-build contract will be funded over three fiscal years from 2022 to 2024.
