About this file
This document is a technical specification for switchboards related to the Chicopee Armory Rehabilitation project in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The project calls for the installation of metal-enclosed, front-connected and front-accessible switchboards of various sizes, ratings, and arrangements. The switchboards must meet specific NEMA, UL, NFPA, and seismic performance standards. Key requirements include full-capacity main bus, 100% neutral bus capacity, ground bus, transient voltage surge suppression, and group-mounted thermal-magnetic molded case circuit breakers. The switchboards must also be equipped with metering capabilities, including a multifunction digital panel meter and utility metering compartment. The project is seeking bids from qualified general contractors to perform the overall renovation work.
The technical specification does not provide details on pricing, set-asides, incumbents, funding sources, or contract term and renewal options. It focuses on the technical requirements and performance standards for the switchboard equipment as part of the broader renovation project for the Chicopee Armory.
