About this file
This document is an Insurance Requirements form for a Crane Maintenance and Repair Service agreement between the Port Everglades Crane Section and Broward County, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The insurance requirements outline comprehensive coverage specifications for a contractor performing crane maintenance and repair services.
The insurance requirements detail multiple types of mandatory insurance coverage, including General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence, $5,000,000 aggregate), Auto Liability ($1,000,000 combined), Worker's Compensation (statutory limits), and Employer's Liability ($1,000,000 per accident). Notable provisions include the requirement for Broward County to be listed as the Certificate Holder and an additional insured party, with 30 days' written notice required for cancellation. The contractor's insurance must provide primary coverage, and for Claims-Made policies, insurance evidence must be maintained for at least three years after contract completion. Special notes highlight the U.S. Longshoremen & Harbor Workers' Act requirement for activities near navigable waters.
