About this file

This is an email correspondence regarding a state and local contract opportunity issued by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) in California for Palo Alto Firewall and Panorama Annual Maintenance Renewal. The contract involves a one-year term effective January 14, 2026 through January 13, 2027, with authorized resellers invited to submit bids. The procurement timeline includes an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issuance on December 9, a second public notice on December 15, a questions deadline of December 16 at 11:00 a.m., written responses to questions on December 17, and a bid submission deadline of December 23 at 11:00 a.m.

The budget allocated for this annual maintenance renewal contract is $153,379. A critical requirement established during email communications between OCTA procurement staff members is that all bidders must be authorized Palo Alto Networks resellers, a qualification that was confirmed and emphasized by Long Leu, Senior Section Manager of IS Online Systems & Network Administration at OCTA. This reseller authorization requirement ensures that bidders have the necessary credentials and support capabilities to deliver the required maintenance and support services for the Palo Alto firewall and Panorama products throughout the contract term.

Morning Long, That’s helpful information, thank you for explaining. I’ll let CAMM management know that we already asked for an extension, so this needs to be expedited. Would the below schedule work? I’ll need to submit the IFB for review today to get it issued next Tuesday. Sorry, I know responses are due just a day after the questions, but hopefully we won’t get too many.

December 9 Issue IFB, First Public Notice December 15 Second Public Notice December 16 Questions Due by 11:00 a.m.

December 17 Responses to Questions December 23 Bids Due 11:00 a.m.
