About this file
This document is an Addendum 1 for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe (UMUT) Fiber Construction and Materials project from Cortez to Towaoc, covering RFP EDA#05-01-06143. The addendum provides detailed responses to 20 specific questions from potential bidders regarding the fiber optic network construction project. Key project details include a 28% segment on tribal property, fiber optic cable installation using 288-strand single-mode cables with specific technical requirements, and a total project estimated at approximately $2.5 million with an expected completion date of November 14, 2025.
Critical project requirements include obtaining crossing permits for tribal lands ($10 per ID card), completing necessary documentation like splice-sheets and bore-logs, and following specific technical standards for materials and restoration. The project will require splicing, does not mandate tribal labor percentages, and has waived most T.E.R.O. fees except for the ID card charge. Bidders must include freight in pricing, follow the RFP's pricing template, and be prepared to negotiate storage options with the tribe. The project will involve work within CDOT rights-of-way and requires adherence to their restoration and revegetation standards.
