About this file

This document is a technical specification section for hangers and supports related to the Chicopee Armory Rehabilitation project in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The project involves the rehabilitation of the Chicopee Armory and is being issued for bid. Section 230529 covers the requirements for hangers and supports for the mechanical system piping and equipment. It includes details on the types of pipe hangers, channel support systems, and thermal-hanger shield inserts that are approved for use. The section also provides guidance on the installation of the hangers and supports, as well as requirements for building attachments, powder-actuated fasteners, and welding. This specification is part of the overall bid package for the general contractor to perform the Chicopee Armory Rehabilitation project.

The specification does not include any pricing terms, set asides, or information about funding sources. It is focused solely on the technical requirements for the hangers and supports to be used in the project. There is no mention of any incumbent contractors or the current environment. This appears to be a standard technical specification that would be included in the bid package for a construction project of this nature.
