About this file

This is a sanitary sewer bypass specification document for the Solano County Justice Campus Asset Protection project, prepared by project manager KSN, Inc. and project engineer Baumbach & Piazza, Inc. The specification establishes requirements for contractors to furnish and install a temporary sewer bypass system, including all labor, materials, equipment, and operational support as detailed on plan sheet SS-1. The work encompasses installing and operating bypass pumping systems and pipelines, with complete site restoration including backfilling, grassing, sodding, and routine site restoration. Compensation is provided on a lump sum basis, with all items not specifically covered in the bid schedule to be included in the cost of other bid items. Work must conform to Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District standards, applicable City, District, County, State, and Federal regulations, and the specific Sanitary Sewer Bypass Provisions referenced on plan sheet SS-1.

The specification references additional project documentation including Infrastructure and Financing Plan drawing sets and requires contractors to comply with all regulatory and environmental requirements applicable to the jurisdiction. Submittals and preparation requirements are governed by the detailed Sanitary Sewer Bypass Provisions on plan sheet SS-1. This sanitary sewer bypass work is a component of the broader Asset Protection Project, which is being procured through a multi-prime manner and is federally funded through FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance programs, requiring compliance with Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations Part 200 and prevailing wage requirements under California Labor Code.
