Bid Tabulation Summary
This bid tabulation document summarizes sealed bid submissions for multiple state and local contract opportunities in Georgia, including projects administered by Spalding County, the City of Dahlonega, and the City of Jackson. The primary project involves paving, resurfacing, and striping work on eight roadways in Spalding County totaling approximately 6.73 miles under the TSPLOST Resurfacing Phase IA program (RFP 2023-003). The work encompasses patching with recycled asphalt concrete, leveling, overlay paving, pavement markings, traffic control, and mobilization across Musgrove Road, Dale Drive, Hamilton Boulevard, Dundee Lake Circle, Lakewood Drive, Northside Drive, Camden Road, and North Hill Street, requiring approximately 5,611 tons of material. A secondary project involves the City of Dahlonega's improvements to the Hancock Park Dumpster Pad, with a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for February 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM EST at City Hall. A third project involves the City of Jackson's location and replacement of 10 water valves along Third Street, including pipe exposure, cleaning, valve insertion, backfilling, and restoration to GDOT standards. Only Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Prequalified Prime Contractors are eligible to bid on the Spalding County project. The Spalding County contractor must commence work within fifteen calendar days of Notice to Proceed (issued no later than November 15, 2022) and complete all work within ninety calendar days, with work scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to dusk.
All work must comply with GDOT Standard Drawings and Standard Specifications, with materials sourced exclusively from GDOT-certified suppliers. The Spalding County project is funded through Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) revenue. Spalding County Public Works will handle shoulder building, repaint patch markings, adjust water main valve boxes to grade, and manage debris removal. Addendum No. 1, issued September 21, 2022, provided revised bid tabulation forms, roadway specifications, and detailed patch measurements. Written questions for the Dahlonega project must be submitted to Brittany Lee at blee@dahlonega.gov or faxed to 706-864-4837 before 12:00 PM EST, with responses posted by addendum no later than 5:00 PM EST on February 24, 2023.
