About this file

This is Addendum No. 2 to the terminal furniture procurement for Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, issued by the Greater Baton Rouge Airport District in coordination with the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge, with architectural services provided by Washer Hill Lipscomb Cabaniss Architecture (WHLC). The project involves procurement and installation of new furniture across the first and second floors of the airport terminal, including benches with and without backs, ottomans, bar stools, lounge chairs, modular seating configurations, and tables from specified manufacturers such as Zoeftig. The scope encompasses 58 line items with quantities ranging from single units to 53 pieces, along with delivery, assembly, installation, removal of existing furniture, replacement parts, and ancillary hardware. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit were held on August 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the airport terminal. Written questions must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on August 28, 2026, with sealed bids due on September 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the City/Parish Purchasing Office. The contract allows 180 calendar days for project completion, though Addendum No. 1 supersedes this timeline with anticipated installation dates. Installation must occur during after-hours operations from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., and the awarded dealer is responsible for periodic coordination meetings with the contractor and weekly updates during the installation phase.

Bidders must hold a current Louisiana Contractor's License and are not required to provide a proposal guaranty or bid bond. The project budget estimate is $1,481,404.56, with procurement, project management, specification verification, order management, coordination, and contract administration counting toward the 25% prime contract requirement. BABA-compliant items will be purchased with federal funds, while non-BABA-compliant items will be purchased separately by the airport; bidders must submit pricing for the complete group without separating compliant and non-compliant items. Bidders may not provide pricing for both a base bid and an alternate of the same item, and prior approvals for deviations must be submitted no later than 7 days before the bid due date. Bid prices must remain firm for 60 days from opening. Award is contingent upon receipt of grants from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development Office of Aviation. Addendum No. 2 includes specification revisions, clarifications on furniture specifications, updated drawings, and requirements for material changes, such as changing Zoeftig Zenky arms and legs from steel to aluminum per manufacturer specifications.
