About this file

This is a Claim of Business Confidentiality Form submitted pursuant to Utah Code Annotated in connection with the RFP for Interior Remodel at Lehi Junior High, a construction project managed by Alpine School District in Utah. The form allows vendors submitting proposals to assert claims of business confidentiality for sensitive information included in their bids, specifically protecting non-public financial statements, employee contact information, customer or client lists, and other proprietary data. The document clarifies that pricing and cost proposals may not be classified as confidential and will be considered public information, and that entire proposals cannot be designated as protected or confidential in their entirety. The RFP involves remodeling approximately 6,400 square feet of cafeteria and commons space at Lehi Junior High, with work primarily consisting of replacing ceiling tiles, light fixtures, HVAC diffusers, removing existing wall carpet, and painting walls. The mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk-through is scheduled for October 29 at 10:30 a.m. Mountain Time at the school location, with check-in closing promptly at that time and late arrivals not admitted. The proposal closing date and time is Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026 at 2:00 PM Mountain Time, and a single contract award will be made to the responsive and responsible offeror with the highest score in accordance with procurement code.

Vendors claiming business confidentiality must complete the form by identifying specific pages and paragraphs containing protected information and providing reasons based on either trade secrets as defined in Utah Code Annotated Section 13-24-2 or commercial information that could result in unfair competitive injury. Vendors will be notified if claimed protected records are classified as public or if the governmental entity determines the records should be released after weighing interests under applicable Utah Code sections. The form does not identify specific pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractors, or detailed funding requirements and sources.
