About this file

This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) issued by Jordan School District in Utah in compliance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97). The statement applies to all vendors contracting with Jordan School District to provide goods or services, including supplies, information technology, or construction services. Vendors must certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or a "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in the referenced Utah Code section and agree to refrain from engaging in either boycott throughout the contract period. The document requires vendor signature and includes fields for the solicitation name and number, company name, printed name of authorized representative, and date of execution.

The boycott restriction statement prohibits vendors from boycotting the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture activities, companies involved in firearm manufacture or distribution, companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws, and companies that do not provide access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries, unless such actions constitute ordinary business purposes. Vendors who engage in restricted boycotts must immediately notify Jordan School District in writing. This attachment applies to the Science of Reading (SOR) Professional Development Program – Train-the-Trainer Services RFP, which seeks qualified providers to deliver train-the-trainer services designed to build internal district capacity for independent delivery of the Science of Reading Professional Development Program.

ATTACHMENT B

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement

In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.

We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
