About this file
This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) required by the Jordan School District for vendors bidding on the Theatrical Lighting Upgrade contract for Elk Ridge Middle School in Utah. The statement is issued in accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) and applies to all vendors providing goods, services, supplies, information technology, or construction services to the district. Vendors must certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in the statute and agree to maintain compliance throughout the contract term if awarded.
The document specifies prohibited boycotts, which include boycotts of the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture activities, firearm manufacturers and distributors, companies not meeting environmental standards beyond applicable regulations, and companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors must complete the certification statement by providing their company name, signature, printed name, date, and the solicitation name and number. If a vendor engages in such a boycott during the contract period, immediate written notification to the public entity is required.

ATTACHMENT B
Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement
In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.
We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
