About this file

This is an Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (OPCC) price schedule document for the City of Tallahassee's Georgia Street Drainage and Infrastructure Improvements – Phase IV project, specifically addressing water and sanitary sewer improvements. The project scope encompasses general contract items including mobilization, temporary traffic control, clearing and grubbing, erosion and sedimentation control, and tree removal and protection. The construction work includes road surface restoration across multiple streets (Martin Luther King Boulevard, Georgia Street, Old Bainbridge Road, and North Macomb Street and North Bronough Street) with asphalt full-depth restoration ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 inches, concrete sidewalk and driveway work, and curb and gutter installation. The potable water main work consists of 1,950 linear feet of 8-inch PVC water main and 460 linear feet of 8-inch DI water main, along with associated water services, fire hydrant assemblies, gate valves, and connections to existing infrastructure. The sanitary sewer work includes approximately 3,312 linear feet of gravity sewer main in 8-inch and 10-inch PVC and DI pipe at varying depths, 37 sewer services ranging from 0 to 40 feet in length, and five pre-cast concrete manholes ranging from 6 to 14 feet in depth.

The total estimated Opinion of Probable Construction Cost for the water and sanitary sewer project is $1,929,807.00 in 2021 dollars. The price schedule itemizes 47 distinct pay items with unit costs and total costs clearly delineated, including general contract items valued at approximately $282,500, road surface restoration items totaling $632,917, potable water main work totaling approximately $300,400, sanitary sewer main installation totaling approximately $541,255, and miscellaneous services including valve abandonment and sod work. The document also references an incomplete second schedule with standard transportation-related pay items such as mobilization, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, milling, and asphaltic concrete, suggesting coordination with broader infrastructure improvement efforts. No specific bid due dates, site visit information, or award dates are provided within this cost schedule document.
