General Information Visa Support Services (VSS) Industry Day, 10/4/18
Security and Registration: All attendees should plan to arrive between 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to ensure time for security and registration prior to the start of the program at 1:00 p.m. Visitors should arrive at the SA-17 North Entrance (nearer to G Street) at 600 19th St, NW, Washington, D.C.
Upon entry all visitors should proceed to the security desk. No security clearance is required to participate; however, each visitor must be pre-registered and present a valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport). Once identification is provided, each visitor will proceed through metal detectors. Government staff will be present on the other side of security and will escort all attendees to room B1.302 for Industry Day. For vendors who already have a Department of State ID badge, you must follow the above protocol and check-in at the Security Desk at the North Entrance as well as outside room B1.302 to gain admittance to the session.
Please note that all visitors will require escorts at all times while in the building, for all purposes. Each employee may only escort a maximum of ten (10) visitors at one time, so please plan accordingly and expect that there may be a short wait.
Industry Day Program: The program will begin with a presentation by representatives from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA) and the Office of Acquisitions Management (AQM). The presentation will run from 1:00 p.m. until approximately 3:10 p.m. followed by a short break. The remainder of the program will be reserved for the Government to respond to questions from attendees and to deliver closing remarks. The Government appreciates all attendees holding their questions until the Q&A session at the end of the program. Paper copies of the Industry Day presentation will not be provided. An electronic copy will be posted on www.fbo.gov following conclusion of the program.
Please note that this pre-solicitation conference is only for informational purposes. Any statements or representations made during the conference are not legally binding and any changes that result from the conference will only be official if issued through a solicitation or amendment to a Request for Proposal (RFP).
Attendees must keep all electronic devices off during the presentation, and photography and recordings are prohibited at all times while in the building.
