About this file

This is a California Civil Rights Laws Certification document issued by the State of California applicable to state and local contract opportunities, specifically related to a Boat Boarding Float Replacement project at MacArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park. The certification applies to all bidders and proposers executing or renewing contracts valued over $100,000 on or after January 1, 2017. Bidders must certify compliance with the Unruh Civil Rights Act (California Civil Code Section 51) and the Fair Employment and Housing Act (California Government Code Section 12960). The document requires an authorized company representative to execute the certification under penalty of perjury, including the proposer or bidder firm name, Federal ID number, authorized signature, printed name and title of the signatory, execution date, and the county and state where the certification is executed.

The certification additionally requires contractors to confirm that any internal policies regarding sovereign nations or peoples recognized by the United States government are not implemented in violation of the Unruh Civil Rights Act or the Fair Employment and Housing Act. This compliance certification is mandatory for all contract awards exceeding $100,000 and represents a prerequisite requirement for contract eligibility rather than a pricing, funding, or performance specification document.
