About this file

The file is a comprehensive project manual for the Lake Hazel Middle School Phase 4 Major Renovation, issued by the West Ada School District in Boise, Idaho. The project involves a substantial renovation of the middle school, encompassing multiple divisions of work including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and technology improvements. The project manual, dated October 31, 2025, provides detailed specifications for various construction components such as concrete work, masonry, metal framing, gypsum board, roofing, doors, hardware, glazing, and finishes. The document includes technical specifications, performance requirements, product details, and installation guidelines for each section of the renovation work.

The project is set to be completed through multiple bid packages managed by a construction manager, with the total scope involving selective demolition, roof replacement, remodeling of science classrooms, library, hallways, maintenance room, and various support spaces. The specifications indicate precise requirements for materials, installation methods, and quality standards, with an emphasis on durability, functionality, and compliance with building codes. While specific budget details are not explicitly stated in the document, the comprehensive nature of the specifications suggests a significant investment in modernizing and upgrading the school's infrastructure. The project appears to be funded through the school district's capital improvement budget, with a focus on creating enhanced learning environments through systematic renovation of existing facilities.
