About this file
This is an Electronic Signature Implementation Agreement form for the County of Bergen, New Jersey, in conjunction with Bonfire e-procurement solution. The document establishes the framework for vendors to utilize electronic signatures when conducting official business with Bergen County and its local units. The agreement authorizes vendors to create a single vendor profile through Bonfire that can be used across all participating local units in Bergen County. Vendors must designate an authorized individual to execute electronic signatures on behalf of their organization for bid submissions, requests for proposals, requests for quotations, and other official offers to participating local units. The electronic signature remains valid for a one-year term from the date the form is executed.
The form requires vendors to provide standard identification information including the authorized individual's name, title, phone number, and email address, along with the vendor's legal name and signature. Electronic signatures executed through this agreement serve as official signatures for all bidding and procurement activities with Bergen County local units, except where a participating local unit explicitly requests alternative documentation or forms. This streamlined approach aligns with New Jersey's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) and the federal E-Sign Act, both of which authorize government agencies to conduct official business electronically while maintaining proper records management and legal validity.
