About this file

This is Addendum No. 2 to RFQ No. 2025-029 issued by the Town of Palm Beach for the prequalification of roofing contractors, dated August 12, 2025. The addendum responds to questions received by August 13, 2025, and confirms that the proposal due date remains August 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM. The Town operates 40+ buildings with diverse roof types including barrel tile, flat/roll roofs, corrugated steel, wood shake, asphalt shingle, metal, and concrete tile systems across facilities ranging from Town Hall and public safety buildings to recreational facilities, docks, and utility structures.

Key requirements clarified include that the prime contractor must hold a roofing license issued by Palm Beach County and/or the State of Florida, with all subcontractors disclosed on required forms. The Town allows roofing management companies that provide oversight and ensure compliance rather than performing direct installation work. The workload and scheduling evaluation criteria refers to the current workload capacity of responding roofing companies, with full requirements detailed in Addendum No. 1. The attached building inventory shows facilities totaling over 170,000 square feet across various locations including South County Road, Ocean Boulevard, and other municipal properties, with several facilities currently under construction that will feature wood shake roofing systems.
