About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for a Halon Fire Suppression System Replacement project issued by the National Park Service (NPS) Pacific West Region. Amendment 003 addresses ten detailed questions from potential contractors regarding the project, specifically covering fire suppression systems in two vault areas: the Fine Arts Vault and the Rare Book Vault. Key details include confirmation of 2 total tanks (1 per room), each with one initiator, 10 total smoke detectors (6 in Fine Arts Vault, 4 in Rare Book Vault), and verification that replacement parts for the initiator cards are still available despite halon tanks no longer being manufactured.

The amendment provides technical clarifications about the existing fire suppression equipment, including specifics about Fenwal detection systems, tank configurations, and initiator requirements. The solicitation (140P8625Q0045) involves replacing fire suppression system components, with the contracting officer Patty Payne and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) Rachelle Byarlay-Robson providing contact information for potential bidders seeking additional information. The amendment also references attached site visit logs and photographs to support contractor understanding of the project requirements.
