About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for the MORA Quarters Cleaning RFQ 140P8326Q0028 issued by Mount Rainier National Park. The document addresses clarifications regarding housing cleaning services, including unit types and service frequency. Mount Rainier operates with 2-3 units of each type (1BR, 2BR, 3BR) serviced annually at each location, with peak demand of 5-8 total units monthly from February to June and September to December, and off-peak demand of 1-2 units monthly. Site visits prior to quote submission are not permitted, and there is no incumbent contractor currently performing these services.
The Q&A establishes critical requirements for supplies and logistics. Contractors must use USDA bio-preferred products with minimal petrochemical content and preference for environmentally sensitive/green products; all products must be non-deodorized. Logistical considerations include key pickup at Twoods Admin Building (55210 238th Ave E) for each service week, with pricing to account for distance to Longmire location at a flat rate not exceeding 45 minutes travel time (chains required November 1 through April 30); Ohana access pricing at a flat rate not exceeding 90 minutes during peak periods. The park provides entry passes for access beyond the Nisqually Entrance.

A.1. 2-3 for each unit type per year at each location.
Q.2. Is there an anticipated average number of service requests per month or year?
A.2. Average amount would be 5-8 total units serviced per month between Feb and June and again from Sep to Dec (peak). Average amount at off-peak would be 1-2/mo Q.3. Are site visits permitted prior to quote submission?
Q.3. No Q.4. Is there an incumbent contractor currently performing these services?
A.4. No Q.5. Are there any specific requirements for cleaning supply types (e.g., environmentally preferred products)?
A.5. USDA bio-preferred products, minimal petro-chemical products, preference for environmentally sensitive/green products. All products used shall be non-deodorized.
Q.6. Are there any access or logistical considerations (travel time between locations, restricted access hours, etc.) that should be factored into pricing?
A.6. Logistical considerations – Pickup key at Twoods Admin building (55210 238th Ave E) each time for all the units to be serviced that week. The distance between Twoods and Longmire should be factored into pricing at a flat rate to cover mileage and time, and shouldn’t exceed 45 mins (weather dependent); chains shall be carried November 1 to April 30. Park will provide an entry pass for anything that occurs past the Nisqually Entrance (Longmire). Logistical concerns from Twoods to Ohana during those peak time periods should be priced at a flat rate to cover mileage and time; and shouldn’t exceed 90 mins.
