About this file
This document contains questions and answers from a pre-bid job walk for the federal contract opportunity to rehabilitate the Crane Flat Campground in Yosemite National Park. The National Park Service is seeking to enhance the visitor experience by removing trees, stumps, and slash from the campground areas according to site plans, and disposing of or relocating campground furnishings including 67 picnic tables and all fire rings. Bidders must submit a waste management plan and coordinate with the park for archaeological and tribal monitoring during construction. The contractor will be responsible for stockpiling and returning duff and topsoil layers, as well as importing white Sierra granite rock for retaining walls, culverts, and barriers. Up to 4,500 gallons of water per day may be drawn from the Crane Flat gas station standpipe for construction needs. The contract consists of five contract line items but is not broken down by individual campground loop.
