About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to a federal solicitation for renovating theatrical stage rigging machinery systems at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. The solicitation seeks to upgrade rigging and hoisting equipment, including retrofitting the lighting bridge and concert ceiling pod winches with redundant load brakes, limit switches, and motor encoding. Bidders must meet Davis-Bacon wage requirements and the scope of work includes structural reinforcement of the T-track support frame. As-built rigging drawings are available to assist with sizing additional motor equipment. The National Park Service is the contracting agency and work must be complete to allow use of upgraded systems for the 2021 or 2022 performance seasons.

United Rentals has a force air heat that burns diesel in a unit that sits outside and a plastic vent would be run into the building. Only looking to have a temp of 50 in the building. | Given the area of the backstage, it is undecided that any portable system will be able to achieve this goal. This unit can do what they want but NPS is checking about diesel emissions in the park. |
