Is an incremental encoder acceptable in chain hoist provided <1/8" accuracy is achievable and position is stored in the drive on power‐down to avoid re‐referencing on power‐up?
Please provide pricing for a chain hoist with EACH type of encoder configuration; 1. an incremental encoder, 2. an absolute encoder. *designer provided several photos and/or reference drawings
Is a single hard limit and 'soft' limit an acceptable alternative to 4x limits in chain hoists?
Please provide pricing for a chain hoits with EACH type od limit switch configuration; 1. Ultimate‐hard struck, Initial‐ hard struck, "soft" limit , 2. Ultimate‐hard struck, "soft" limit *designer provided several photos and/or reference drawings
2.6(F) calls out Locat Control at the MCCs. Would a plug‐in point for the handheld console be suitable for this functionality?
No. Do not want to depend on finding a remote in and Emergency.
2.6(G) Please specify the necessary environmental rating (NEMA) for the MCR.
NEMA 4X adds Corrosion Protection which is important in our High Humidity Enviroment. An alternative can be proposed if it can resist high temperature and humidity.
2.6(M)(1)(b) MCCs are called out as NEMA 4X enclosure.
Can reasoning be provided as to why an enclosure that is protected from the direct elements (such as rain/snow/sun) is required to have such a high rating?
NEMA 4X enclosure will be significantly more expensive compared to a NEMA 3R or 4 enclosure.
NEMA 4X adds Corrosion Protection which is important in our High Humidity Enviroment. An alternative can be proposed if it can resist high temperature and humidity.
