Questions & Answers

1. Question: We respectfully request a 1-week extension to properly digest all documents associated with the RFP and prepare our response to the requirements for Volume 1 and 2 to offer the NPS the most competitive proposal possible.

Answer: Unfortunately, due to the tight fiscal year-end schedule, the proposal due date remains 1500 MT, August 15, 2018.

2. Question: In Section L of the RFP under Subfactor 2b: Prior Experience, the RFP limits the number of projects to be submitted to no more than five with no time restrictions (i.e.

completed in the past 5 years, etc.). However, in the Proposal Submission Package, on the Experience Questionnaire, the number of projects submitted is limited to a maximum of 3 within the past 5 years. Please confirm the time limitation on projects submitted, as well as the maximum number to be submitted.

Answer: The correct number of project that should be submitted is a maximum of 3 within the past 5 years.

3. Question: Will Building 69 be emptied of all office equipment and furniture prior to Notice to Proceed?

Answer: Yes.

4. Question: Is there a main line at Flatbush or are there individual disconnects at each building?

Answer: The Utilities require individual disconnect at each building.

5. Question: Can the contractor use the fire hydrants?

Answer: Yes, but the Government does not guarantee they all work.

6. Question: Does the switch gear need to be salvaged in Building 132A?

Answer: Yes.

7. Question: Which trees shall be saved and protected during demolition?

Answer: Trees to be saved are detailed on the drawings.

8. Question: Is there HAZMAT in the B-129 crawl spaces?

Answer: A limited investigation performed in the accessible crawl space reveled a small amount of asbestos debris (perhaps from a previous abatement) and fiberglass insulated pipes. It is anticipated that the remaining crawl spaces can be made accessible during the early stages of demolition and inspected for asbestos.

9. Question: Is there a crawl space and how big is it?

Answer: The crawl space in Building 129 is not continuous.

10. Will there be any more site visits?

Answer: No.
