23_Clean with Addendum does not limit overlapping of the
Project Manager, Job‐Site Superintendent, On‐site Quality Control
Manager, or On‐site Safety Manager.
Given the size of the project, would the government consider having the
Superintendent serve as the Quality and Safety Specialist, as well (“triple hat”)?
7‐Dec Please refer to Answer #7. 0001
Will the government accept a previously received Past Performance

7‐Dec
The government will not accept a previous past performance questionnaire for a project that does not have CPARS. Contractors cannot submit their own past performance questionnaire(s).

I have it called out in the divisions there is fire suppression but there is no div.
21 in the specs and there is also no specs for the ADA appliances called out in the plans on A 7.2.

Plan sheet(s) E1.0 & E1.1 Power General Notes (C) Add Alternat #2: Replace All existing receptacles and switches in building with new. Statement also includes cover plates. The plan sheet(s) do not indicate where, how many, or rather they are single pole, double pole, 3‐way (Switches), seems that receptacles are marked however, the switches are not. There is no information regarding the note for the switches.
Is there is a location where the switches are called out in the plans? and if they are not, how many are there and the type.
21‐Dec
The intent of the alternate is that all receptacles and switch plates and covers in the building be replaced, even if not shown in the drawings; but that the drawings give the best knowledge of existing location and quantity based on site visit and existing drawings. They are indicated with the (E) existing symbol on the drawings for pricing of the alternate (E1.0 & E1.1 for quantities and types of existing receptacles, and E2.0, E2.1, and E6.0 for quantities and types of existing and new switch plates). They are labeled ‘Not in Scope’ and/or in grey, to demonstrate that they are not in the base bid. Notes #5 E2.0 or #4 on E2.1 within the rooms with the existing fixtures indicate that the ‘existing room/area controls shall be replaced, in same location, with new controls for current code compliance.’ The switches shown in these locations are in the location of the existing switches and show the replacement ‘W1’ (low voltage toggle switch) or ‘VSW1’
(vacancy wall switch) controls and ‘VS1’ (ceiling vacancy) controls in the ceiling where needed. Notes #2 on E2.0 and #1 on E2.1 indicate updating the fixtures in same location with updated controls and reference E6.0. E6.0 shows a fixture schedule
‘Existing Room Fixture – Lighting Fixture Schedule’ as well as what the controls such what ‘W1’ and ‘VSW1’ and ‘VS1’ are. The information lacking is what the switches are: these will need to be verified by the Contractor if the alternate is exercised.
On the door schedule E13 has an existing HM Frame but then asks for a HM door. Do I need to supply a new HM Door? The spec does not talk about any doors. Should I replace this door with an 18 gauge 707 Polystyrene core flush door?
29‐Dec
For pricing, please provide a hollow metal door meeting the minimum performance requirements of Level 2 and Physical
Performance Level B (Heavy Duty), Model 2 (seamless). A formal specification section will be provided upon award.
