About this file
These are the specifications for the Lamb House Demolition and Stabilization project for the Bureau of Land Management's Tres Rios Field Office in Colorado, dated 2025. The project involves demolishing additions to two original stone buildings, reconstructing roofs, providing electrical service to the south stone building, and constructing a parking lot and access trail. Key work includes removing hazardous materials, demolishing building additions, protecting original stone walls, installing new doors and windows, reconstructing roofs with synthetic shake shingles, installing a ductless mini-split air conditioner, and creating trail and parking infrastructure.
The project specifications cover detailed requirements for multiple construction disciplines, including earthwork, demolition, electrical service, storm drainage, concrete work, and site improvements. The work will occur Monday through Friday and must be completed within 270 days of the Notice to Proceed. Special considerations include an archaeologically sensitive area requiring monitoring during trail construction, careful preservation of original stone structures, and specific material and installation requirements for each project component. The total project area is located at 12761 County Road G in Cortez, Colorado, with careful attention to maintaining the historical integrity of the original stone buildings.
