About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) Amendment #1 for the GAOA Hot Well Dunes Campground Improvements project in Arizona, solicitation number 140L0625B0012. The project involves campground upgrades and infrastructure improvements, with key details including a 365-calendar day period of performance from the Notice to Proceed. The site will remain open to the public during construction, with dispersed camping allowed and existing amenities partially maintained. Critical requirements include installing a new well pump at a lower depth (100'), replacing vault toilets and trash receptacles, and adhering to Buy American product requirements.

Specific technical specifications include using continuous-roll DR 11 Class 200 HDPE fusion-welded water pipes, requiring an Arizona-licensed arborist for tree pruning, and removing all tamarisk trees within designated areas. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating multiple inspections, including Graham County inspections for fencing and structural footings, Graham County Health Department septic system inspections, and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) periodic project inspections. Water for construction will be available on Haekel Road, and uncontaminated native soil can be stockpiled at specified coordinates. No liquidated damages are established, and no archaeological monitor is required during excavation.
