About this file

This document is a 2024-2025 state price quote specification for TYPE D-84 PASSENGER ELECTRIC school buses in the state of Washington. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) is seeking price quotations from school bus dealers interested in selling electric buses to school districts in Washington. The specification details the required technical specifications for the buses, including seating capacity, motor, batteries, brakes, lights, and other features. Vendors must meet or exceed these specifications and provide pricing for both non-lift and lift buses. The document also includes a form for vendors to submit their official price quotes, which will be published for school districts to use when placing orders directly with the dealers.

The price quotes are to be based on payment within 30 days after delivery to the school district, without sales tax. The specification includes a list of district-supported options that vendors can also provide pricing for, such as air conditioning, fire suppression systems, storage compartments, and video camera systems. Vendors must identify the specific items they are bidding and provide the associated pricing, which will establish the final cost to the school districts.
