About this file

The document is a 2025-2026 State Price Quote Specification for Type A-Electric School Buses issued by the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) Student Transportation Department. The specification allows vendors to bid on both non-lift and lift electric school buses, with detailed requirements for vehicle configuration, performance, and features. The document covers a procurement cycle for the 2025-2026 academic year, with a pre-bid specification review meeting scheduled for June 30, 2025, open to all interested vendors and manufacturers.

The specification outlines comprehensive technical requirements for electric school buses, including minimum performance standards such as 160 H.P. motors, propulsion batteries with at least 80 kWh capacity, LED lighting, specific seating capacities, and wheelchair accessibility features. Pricing is to be established based on bus configurations (with and without lifts), with vendors required to meet or exceed Washington State School Bus Specification Manual standards. The document provides a detailed vehicle data sheet for pricing, warranty information, and optional district-supported features like air conditioning, video camera systems, and additional tie-down systems, allowing for customized bus configurations to meet specific school district needs.
