AMENDMENT 0004
RFQ NUMBER: 1333ND21QNB610162
TITLE: Manufacturing, Installation, and Testing of Double-Walled Warm Deuterium
QUESTION: Are Drawings 002-3072 and 002-3073 part of this scope? I’m not certain what these two drawings are referencing and if I’m supposed to quote these two drawings. Please clarify.
RESPONSE: The two (2) drawings are subassemblies for the piping and are part of the scope. There are two (2) concentric pipes, one inside the other. 3072 is the proposed path for the helium jacket wall (outer pipe) and 3073 is the proposed path for the deuterium pipe (inner pipe). The exact, final routing of the pipe could change slightly due to construction limitations, but this is a close approximation that shows the correct section lengths and number of elbows they will need.
QUESTION: In section “6.1.1 Piping” is states that the contractor is to provide “Ballast tank fill manifold assembly”. I don’t see this noted in any of the drawings. Please clarify what this is and what I need to quote.
RESPONSE: The ballast tank fill manifold is part of the scope and is referenced as part 002-2866. This is the Deuterium fill manifold listed in section 4.2.3 of the Technical Specifications document.
