About this file
This is an Insurance Requirements document for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau (Visit Lauderdale), a department within Broward County, Florida, outlining mandatory insurance coverage for the Purchase and Delivery of Promotional Items project for the IPW2026 Event. The document specifies that no proof of insurance is required if delivery will be completed by common carrier. The contractor must maintain General Liability insurance with minimum coverage of $500,000 per occurrence and $500,000 aggregate, including broad form commercial general liability, premises-operations, explosion/collapse/underground, products/completed operations hazard, contractual insurance, and independent contractors coverage. Auto Liability coverage of $500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage is required unless no driving will be performed during service delivery. Additional coverage requirements include Employer's Liability with a $100,000 each accident limit and statutory Workers' Compensation coverage.
All insurance policies must name Broward County as an additional insured, provide primary coverage without contribution from the County or self-insurance, and include a waiver of subrogation in favor of Broward County. For Claims-Made policies, insurance must be maintained and evidence of insurance must be provided for a minimum of three years after contract completion. Excess Liability or Umbrella coverage may be used to supplement minimum liability requirements. Professional Liability coverage for errors and omissions is designated as "N/A" for this project, as is Pollution/Environmental Liability coverage. The document was executed on February 4, 2025, by Colleen Pounall from the Risk Management Division.
