About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract 127EAY26Q0079, Smith River Vault Toilet Pumping. The document addresses two key inquiries from potential bidders regarding scope clarification and pricing structure for vault toilet pumping services.
The first question clarifies the unit of measure (EA) used in the pricing schedule, which shows quantities of 10.5 EA and 13.5 EA for Area 1, and 2 EA and 3 EA for Area 2, despite the Performance Work Statement referencing approximately 23 vaults in Area 1 and 14 vaults in Area 2. The contracting officer confirmed that one EA represents the pumping of a single vault toilet. The second question addresses where travel-related charges such as mileage and hourly rates should be included in the bid submission. The response clarifies that all charges, including travel costs, must be incorporated into the "per pump" cost and should not be listed separately on the pricing schedule.
