Question Answer

1 Base Bid - What are the dimensions of concrete underneath the feed bunks? Refer to Attachment 24 - Addendum 2

ALT-3 - On page 10 of the drawings, there is a callout for removing and replacing the landing/stoop near the building. Is this concrete supposed to match the height of the concrete to the west? Or is it to remain a step down?

There is to be a stoop to match height of new concrete drive.

ALT-1 - What is the maximum length of the removable panels? Do you want multiple fence panels or just one for the long side?

No maximum length was determined. The intent is to have multiple panels for ease of installation and removal.

ALT-2 - There are post footings on the south side of the sidewalk that's to be replaced. Do these need to be removed entirely? Or removed to below the new concrete? Remove the footings with remaining post material and fill with concrete.

Base Bid - Does the new concrete stop inside of the fence posts? Or do they surround the posts? Up to the fence posts. The thickness of dimensional lumber used for forms shall be the space between the concrete and posts.

6 Base Bid - Who is responsible for moving the feed bunks? USDA shall move the concrete feed bunks.

At building 21, adjacent to the sidewalk that is to be removed and replaced, there are footing interfering with the patch of the sidewalk. During the freeze thaw cycle, these footings are responsible for breaking the top of the sidewalk off; does the owner wish to have these footings removed? If so, please outlay the scope of work that is desired.

Remove the footings with remaining post material and fill with concrete.

At Court Buildings 5/7/8; the plan shows concrete being installed adjacent to building pedestrian doors; Is there an existing stoop at these walk-through doors? If not, does the owner desire a stoop to be installed to avoid heaving in the winter? There is to be a stoop to match height of new concrete drive.
