About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal contract opportunity involving repair work at three dam locations. The contract concerns inlet structure repairs at the Celina, Saddle, and U-38 dam sites, with work estimated to commence upon award and extend through September 1, 2026. Site visits to the three dam locations can be arranged on March 10th, 12th, or 13th.

As-built drawings are available for Celina and Saddle dams (scanned from 1960s hardcopies in large file format), but not for U-38. The Forest Service may draw down the lake to below the primary inlet elevation but will not empty it. Ground conditions do not need to be dry for vehicle and equipment access via the dam crest, though contractors must repair all damage to Forest Service property. The Forest Service will not provide pictures of gate assemblies at the repair sites. All technical questions must be directed through the sam.gov-listed primary Point of Contact to ensure answers are distributed to all interested parties. The Contracting Officer Representative will be identified upon contract award.
