Summary

This is a Schedule of Items/Price Schedule (Attachment 2, Amendment 004) for USDA Forest Service contract 1240LU26Q0010 covering water and wastewater system improvements at two locations on the Lolo National Forest in Montana. The contract encompasses replacement of water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems at the Ninemile Ranger Station in Missoula County and the St. Regis Work Center in Mineral County. The Ninemile base work includes 41 line items covering mobilization, surveying, site restoration, clearing, water transmission and sewer lines, valves, hydrants, septic systems, and fencing. The St. Regis base work includes 22 line items with similar components plus grinder pumps and RV pad sewer connections. Both locations include optional telemetry and control system installations. Contractors must submit unit prices and extended costs for all items; the government intends to make one award and requires responsive bids to include pricing for all items. Bond premiums and letter of credit costs must be included under the mobilization line item (01010).

The project is valued between $1,000,000–$5,000,000 with a completion deadline of October 1, 2027. Work may begin immediately upon contract award after bonds are received and notice to proceed is issued. No formal site visit is scheduled, though contractors are encouraged to visit. Water and electrical service are available at no cost; contractors are responsible for sanitation facilities. Construction must minimize disruption to Forest Service operations and residents at both sites, with adequate notification of any system shutdowns required.
