About this file
This is Amendment 001 to a Forest Service stewardship solicitation for the Corral G-Z project located in the Fremont-Winema National Forest, Bly Ranger District. The amendment modifies solicitation 12363N26Q4181, issued by the USDA-FS Stewardship Contracting Branch (code 363N) on September 30, 2026, with an effective date of October 6, 2026.
The amendment makes three key changes: (1) reschedules the mandatory site visit/pre-proposal conference from Thursday, October 22, 2026 to Thursday, October 29, 2026, with a 10:00 AM PT meeting time at a specified location off Highway 140 near the Bly Ranger Station; (2) updates the deadline for vendors to notify attendance via email to will.potter@usda.gov from Monday, October 19th to Monday, October 26th, 2026 at 4:00 PM PT; and (3) adds Project Area spatial data to the solicitation package. The underlying solicitation involves stewardship contracting activities authorized under Section 8205 of Public Law 113-79 and includes land management activities with a period of performance from date of award through October 30, 2031. Payment for land management work will be made through Stewardship Credits and Appropriated Funds, with evaluation of price proposals based on timber removal price schedules and bid premiums. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the specified hour and date by completing and returning the amendment, acknowledging receipt on offer copies, or submitting separate written or electronic communication referencing the solicitation and amendment numbers.

Corral G-Z Stewardship IRSC Fremont-Winema National Forest Solicitation 12363N26Q4181 Bly Ranger District full on top of the Contract Timber Value. If appraised timber rate is greater than $9.29/ton Bid Premiums shall not apply. Appraised Timber Rates below $0.91/ton, potentially indicating deficit conditions, will either prompt reassessment of treatment units (move uneconomical unit acres from Timber Removal Item to Service treatment) to bring appraised Rates above $0.91 or Bid Premiums will be waived.
Bid Premium greater than $0.00/ton is not required to be considered for award; however, bid premiums will be evaluated to determine Best Value to the government. Bid Premiums increase the Contract Total Timber Value, which may allow for additional service work to be completed.
For evaluation of price proposals, FS will calculate the Total Value of all products based on the assumptions shown in the Grizzly Project Area Timber Removal Price Schedule and the Total Value Bid Premium quote.
A site visit is scheduled for Thursday, October 22nd October 29th, 2026, to view the project area and discuss the objectives of this contract. See Section 63. SITE VISIT/PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE for meeting site location, and Site Visit Map posted to SAM.gov solicitation post.
