3. add the following language:

Work Restrictions (on Page 10 of 44 in the solicitation)

Riprap placement sites on Road 384 along Crooked River between the confluence of Pikes Fork and Willow Creek will be visually surveyed by the fish biologist prior to construction if the work occurs after August 15th. Completing the riprap placement prior to August 15th is highly recommended. The 7 affected locations are at Stations: 248+21, 249+85, 251+50, 274+35, 292+36, 298+00, and 307+70.

Surveys will look for potential evidence of spawning such as pairing fish or redds. If potential spawning is identified, the placement of riprap will not be permitted in that area unless it is certain there would be no disturbance to spawning activity. This could mean completing the work after spawning concludes and only in areas that would have no potential to impact a redd.

4. Add the following language:

Special Contract Requirements for the Edna Creek and Beaver Creek Culvert Replacements Under: Construction and Earthmoving Activities (on Page 14 of 44 in the solicitation)

If the use of explosives is required to excavate down to designed footing elevations: No blasting products that are classified as hazardous to aquatic environments or known to be toxic to aquatic life may be used.

5. Edit the following to the Erosion Control section on Page 13 of 44 of the solicitation.

Remove the text that is stricken through and replace with bold text. There is NO separate document as referenced in Appendix J.

Erosion Control Submit an Erosion Control and Sediment Control Plan which addresses the requirements of the Road 384 Projects Special Contract Requirements for AOP Sites.doc in Appendix J Special Contract Requirements for the Edna Creek and Beaver Creek Culvert Replacements, the Contract Plans, and Section 157 of the FP-14 Specifications and Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS).
