About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for the Roofing and Waterproofing Consultant Services project issued by Broward County's Facilities Management Division in Florida. The consultant will provide comprehensive services including inventory and assessment of building structures, identification of repair needs, development of specifications, solicitation assistance, construction administration, and monitoring services for County facilities' building envelopes, including roofs, walls, storefronts, and door and window systems. Services encompass reviewing and updating specifications, inventorying facility components, inspecting components, developing construction documents, providing project administration, and developing scopes of work for work authorizations. The solicitation is conducted under the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) per Section 287.055 of Florida Statutes, with vendors required to submit responses electronically through Bonfire BPRO during a specified questions period.

The insurance requirements mandate that the consultant maintain General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, Auto Liability of $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage (waivable if no driving is involved), Workers' Compensation at statutory limits, Employer's Liability of $500,000 per accident, and Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) of $2,000,000 per claim with a maximum deductible of $100,000. Broward County must be named as an additional insured, with the consultant's insurance providing primary coverage without contribution from the County and a waiver of subrogation in the County's favor. For claims-made policies, insurance must be maintained and evidence provided for at least three years after contract completion.
