About this file

This is an Electronic Signature Implementation Agreement form from the County of Bergen, New Jersey, establishing protocols for electronic signatures within the Bonfire e-procurement platform. The document formalizes the County of Bergen's agreement with Bonfire e-procurement solution to modernize procurement processes and provide e-procurement access to all local units within Bergen County. The form serves as an authorization document whereby an authorized individual representing a vendor affirms that their electronic signature is valid and binding for conducting business with participating local units. The authorized signature on this form shall serve as the official signature for submitting bids, responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and other applicable offers to participating local units in Bergen County. The electronic signature is valid for a one-year term from the date the form is executed.

The agreement is predicated on compliance with the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-Sign Act) of 2000 and New Jersey's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA, P.L. 2001, c. 116), which authorize state and local government agencies in New Jersey to conduct official business electronically. The form requires vendors to provide identifying information including the authorized individual's name, title, phone number, email address, and signature, along with the vendor company name. The Bonfire platform allows vendors to create a single vendor profile that is valid across all local units in Bergen County, streamlining the procurement process and reducing administrative burden for both vendors and local government entities.
